Dr. K.S. Sameera Simha with almost 4 decades of teaching at the Secondary School level and as Teacher Educator at the B.Ed. College, a Professor of Education in the capacity of a Selection Grade Lecturer. With his Ph.D. in Education from Bangalore University was on ‘Development of an Instructional Model for the Promotion of Problem-solving skills in students of secondary schools, based on Robert Gagne’s Theory of Learning and Instruction’. He has been a member of various educational organizations such as Faculty of Education, Bangalore University; The Fours Group; R.V. Consortium; project group constituted by DSERT and member of the SSLC Examination Board, Karnataka. He has been a resource
person for the development of text books, teacher’s guides and wark books for first, second, third and fourth standard Mathematics books and for World Bank Project, Government of Karnataka under DPEP. He has served as the Secretary of a professional organization for academic development of teachers-SIGMA, Bangalore and has been the Chairman for the development of Mathematics text and workbook classes under UNICEF project. He is the co-author in the translation of ‘Prof. Yashpal Commission Report’ into Kannada, published by the Dept of Public Instructions in Karnataka. Dr. K.S. Sameera Simha was the recipient of the Kempe Gowda Award in 2002.
