Amazingly gifted Violin maestro Dr. Mysore Manjunath, the son and disciple of renowned violinist Prof.S.Mahadevappa, was a remarkable child prodigy who matured quickly to emerge as one of the top ranking Violinist in India today.

From Royal Albert Hall-London to Sydney Opera house, from Common Thread Music festival in Oregon to Oxford University, From Santa-Fe festival in New Mexico to World Music Festival in Chicago to Esplanade Theatre in Singapore-to Federation Square in Melbourne, Dr.Manjunath has enthralled audiences with his magical violin all over the world. The Los Angeles Times warmly noted that Manjunath has “crossed over so many boundaries, that his style is purely personal.” He has brought laurels and glory to the field of Indian classical Music with the great sitar player Bharathratna Pandith Ravishankar admired and complemented his music and called him the ‘Prince of Mysore’ when he attended the live concert of Dr.Manjunath in Sandiego in 2012.

He is the First Indian violinist to be invited to perform at the Prestigious International Violin Conference held in Sandiego. He has performed at highly reputed World Music festival in Chicago, Bozar Music conference in Belgium & National Centre for early music in UK. Manjunath has the distinction of being the first ever Indian violinist to be invited to perform at the prestigious Oxford University & Royal Palace of Milan in Italy & Persian academy in Tehran. His concert at Reputed Milano Music festival in Italy was telecast live across Europe. He has enthralled music lovers at reputed Putra World Trade Centre- Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, SAARC summit, Theatre-dala-ville in Paris, Singapore Fine arts & Sidney Music Festival. The Government of India sent him to Slovenia, Sri Lanka and Iran for special Republic Day & Independence day concerts as Country’s cultural ambassador.
Academically also excelling, Dr.Manjunath did his Masters in Music securing First Rank and 4 Gold Medals at the university of Mysore and did PhD in Violin. University of Mysore accolades him as alumni with the Stature of Eminence & named him the Cultural Ambassador. He is currently serving as a professor in Music at the University of Mysore. He has created many Ragas & compositions. His recent Yoga Anthem in Raga Bharatha featuring outstanding musicians across the globe received huge recognition. He has been nominated as the National Vice president of Sanskar Bharathi.

Dr.Manjunath is one of the youngest Recipients of prestigious Sangith Natak Academy Award by The Government of India. He is the youngest musician to receive prestigious Rajyothsava Award by the Government of Karnataka.
